A protocol sandbox. Place nodes. Send messages. Break the network. Learn why.
BLUF: LoRa mesh is a shared whisper, not a pipe. One text ties up the channel for ~a second. Every node repeats it. Radio frequency physics can become intuitive, and I am here to help.

CHANNEL UTILIZATION (10s window) — past the red line (25%), real nodes start skipping their own automatic broadcasts (position, node info). Messages and relays keep going, and collide more.
WHAT THIS IS: a faithful cartoon of Meshtastic's managed flooding — hop limits, SNR-ordered rebroadcast, duplicate suppression, collisions, a channel-utilization meter — on fake terrain.
This is not an RF planning tool. To plan real propagation, use the official site planner (site.meshtastic.org). Protocol constants here are approximate; the behavior is the lesson, not the numbers. The devs' research-grade simulator is meshtasticator on GitHub if you want the real math.
TERMINOLOGY: hop, SNR, airtime, packet, node, channel, LoRa, and other terms used here are defined in the site's DICTIONARY tab.
